qqwrrOn Wednesday, March 4 the Providence Academy girls basketball team (21-5) doused the Fire from Holy Family Catholic School by a score of 67-39 to move on the the Section 5AA Finals. 

In the game freshman Kyra Miller dropped in 16 point and grabbed 6 rebounds while senior Hailey Hohenecker added 13 points and picked off 7 steals for the Lions. Sophomore Grace and freshman Maria Counts chipped in 12 points each while Grace corralled 7 rebounds and Maria controlled the boards with a game high 19 grabs. 

Your Section-finals bound Lady Lions!—Dr. Flanders

The Lions will next take on Watertown Mayer High School (19-7) in the Section 5AA finals on Friday, March 6. The contest is scheduled to tipoff at 8:00 p.m. at St. Cloud State University.

Come out and support as your Lions girls basketball team as the look to accomplish something that hasn't been done since 2013 and make the trip back to the MSHSL State Tournament.
