Providence Academy Boys Track and Field Take Section 4A Champions
Congratulations to the Providence Academy Boys Track and Field team for being Section 4A Champions last weekend during the section competition.
A congratulations goes to the girls team as well as they placed third in the meet. There were a few school records broken during the Section meet as well. Junior Max Peckenschneider now has a new school record in the 200m dash with a time of 22.07, and senior Aaron Davis broke his own school record in the triple jump with a distance of 43-05.25.
Several athletes on the team will be moving forward and competing in the Class A Minnesota State High School Track and Field meet on June 7-8. This meet will be held at Hamline University and will begin at 3:30 pm on both days. The Lion's state team consists of 19 athletes and is represented in 13 events at the state meet.
